She's back and blonde

I've always been a fan of Marina Diamandis, and was lucky enough to get to see her live last summer in a really intimate venue. I was blown away by her stage presence and style, and now i'm eagerly anticipating the release of her new album 'Electra Heart'. Her new stuff is a lot more dancy, which i was sceptical of at first when i heard the first release 'Radioactive', but now the single 'Primadonna' has come to surface, i am back on the bandwaggon.

Check out her new video, she looks sick as a blonde

Here are some of the looks that she's rocked, which i think establish her as a style icon.

The American dream

Goth glam

Queen of quirk

Her current Primadonna look mixes her cute quirkiness with the 1950's American housewife style

I seriously love this girl, and she's Welsh too ;)

Written in the stars

So a major trend that has started to hit the high-street is the galaxy print. Cristopher Kane sent an array of galaxy printed beauties down the catwalk last year, but strangely only now has the trend caught on! I personally, am i massive fan.

Lucky for me, the trend has now hit the high-street. Here are some of my favourite pieces.

I am in love with the shorts and Doc Martens! They are sold at http://www.facebook.com/littlewolfvintage, a relatively small Australian label who i am now delighted to announce are doing world-wide shipping. YESSSSSS

They design some seriously unique stuff. Definitely check them out.

This is sick!

And i'm dropping Crystal Castles in here...Just because...she's amazing.

I LOVE FAKE

Check out http://www.ilovefakemagazine.com/index.html

I stumbled across this up and coming magazine in an amazing little shop in downtown New York. It was shockingly thick and expensive but i had to have it. After having a quick flick through the pages, i was captivated by the edgy visuals. It was young and cutting edge and with the dominant visual theme being 90's grunge for that issue, it was an immediate purchase. It is a British magazine 'Celebrating the spirit of youth'.

I would definately check out their website and blog to avoid the rather hefty price tag of the print version. They have some really great shoots that are so much more relevant to today's british youth culture than other more mainstream magazines. They triumph tattoos and tangled hair, and it's generally a very beautiful publication.

Here's some of the magazines' work that caught my eye.

Rainbow hair

I wish i had blonde hair so it would be easy to dye it amazing colours like this. I WANT IT.
op. hey self.

Check out her blog at http://daughterofhungryghosts.tumblr.com/ She has some seriously awesome hair going on.

Ring Bling

I need lots and lots of rings in my life. Asos has some really great ones i'm thinking of getting. Not badly priced either.

Asos £8

They even stock the amazing Vivienne Westwood armour ring (shown in the first photo), but unfortunately it's out of my price range at the whopping £173.

Collars collars everywhere

Right, so at the moment, i have a slight obsession with collars. Whether it be statement collars, collar necklaces or simply a collar peeping out of an old jumper. They have featured quite heavily on the catwalks too with designers such as Preen, House of Holland and Louis Vuitton showcasing them.

However, i say you don't need to spend a bomb to get the look, and that personal customization could be a great way of getting an original and not to mention cheap version. I plan to buy a cheap pack of studs off ebay and create looks similar the the ones below.

So there's this t-shirt design exhibition going on in Cardiff tomorrow, or today should i say? As i'm blogging ridiculously at quarter to three in the morning...Looks like it could definately be worth my while so i'm going to hit it up. It will be showcasing some of the best local labels and new designers from Cardiff and Bristol.

Here's the event link if anyone is in the Cardiff area http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.136599189717513.23085.100001022990709&type=3#!/events/328170810573526/

One of the labels that will be there is MUD Fashion. They sell online so you should definately check them out. They have some really awesome tie dye going on.
